We work with technology partners on their projects, and show the carbon project groups we connect buyers with alongside them.

Some of our partners run energy and carbon removal projects, such as turning agricultural and woody residues into biochar and heat and power by pyrolysis, or storing heat for later use. Each project and its technology belong to the partner who runs it. Where a partner's project connects to carbon or supply that buyers need, we act as its offtake and sourcing partner. Alongside them, we show groups of carbon projects that we connect with buyers, starting with an upcoming high-integrity consortium of carbon projects. Technology concept

From farm residues to biochar and power

Crop and woody residues are often burned or left to rot. Pyrolysis-to-power projects turn them into three useful outputs: biochar for soils, wood vinegar for growers, and power to run the process on site. Projects like this can seek carbon removal certification under a recognised standard; none is implied here.

Our role: We do the sales engineering, find buyers for the biochar, wood vinegar and carbon removals once certified, and secure residue supply from growers, so projects and their buyers can agree terms.

How a residue-to-power project works

Collect

Residues are gathered from farms and forestry that would otherwise burn or decay.

Convert

They're heated without oxygen (pyrolysis), producing biochar, wood vinegar and gas that powers the process.

Supply

Biochar and wood vinegar go to growers and buyers, and carbon removals follow once certified.

MACROAGRI matches these projects with buyers and residue suppliers, and supports the commercial work, from the first conversation to offtake.

High-Integrity projects consortium (Upcoming)

A group of carbon projects we're assembling for buyers who want registry-issued credits, spot or long-term. Each project is named here once it meets the standard below.

What we mean by high-integrity: a project joins only once it is registered with a recognised carbon registry, such as Verra, follows that registry's named methodology, and names the data sources behind its records. Credits are issued by the registry.

We help partners take their technology from pilot to first commercial projects, and find buyers for what it produces.
